About Us:

Amalgam Grappling Academy teaches perseverance through Jiu Jitsu and wrestling classes. Our motto is, “by failing to train you are training to fail”. Our smaller introductory class sizes are ideal for more one-on-one, personal training. Students learn to overcome adversities on the mat and translate those lessons to school, work, and life. With the newfound confidence gained through training, students will learn their true potential. There are no limits to your future success!

Our History:

Owner Tyrus Cox established Amalgam Grappling Academy in October 2017. He wanted to share his passion for Jiu Jitsu in Pflugerville while having a space for his own training. Since opening their doors, Amalgam Grappling Academy has relocated due to its growing size and continues to expand further. Today, Tyrus’s passion remains strong thanks to his students’ personal growth and increased confidence in their own abilities.
